Restoration of the Olekte riverbed

In Riga we are clearing the bed of the Olekte river of historic silting and sediment, to restore the water body and rehabilitate the ground around it. The work starts on the banks — felling trees and shrubs, removing reeds and roots. The riverbed is then dredged, and the extracted material is piped to a site prepared by SIA Rīgas ūdens. Finally we regrade the slopes of the historic basins and landscape the area. Client: SIA Rīgas ūdens (procurement RŪ-2025/187). The contract is signed and the preparatory phase is complete. We deliver the works through the “RPI-ISP-Piekrastei” joint venture with SIA Industry Service Partner and SIA Piekrastei.lv.
