Onshore power supply at the Port of Ventspils

At berth No. 16 of the Port of Ventspils we are building a 4000 kW onshore power connection point. Once operational, RO-PAX vessels — including the Stena Line ferries on the Ventspils–Nynäshamn route — will shut down their diesel generators while berthed and take electricity from shore, cutting exhaust and noise in the port. Our scope: foundations for the electrical equipment modules, cable ducts and underground utilities. In the summer of 2026, concrete works, installation of the cable-duct steel beams and construction of the underground utilities were carried out on site. Client: Ventspils Free Port Authority.
